My Grandpa Cyril
My wonderful Grandpa had a stroke on Saturday November 27th. I don't know why but I feel like I need to put down all the things I know about him; maybe I'm afraid he'll never be that same person again and I will forget.
He loves to garden.
He doesn't like people that don't know what they are doing to touch his computer.
He is really good at playing bridge.
One time he was on a barge in a storm and the barge came loose and he had to be rescued by a helicopter.
He had his tonsils taken out.
He loves fiction.
He could never figure out the remote control.
He likes Grandma Grace's HOMEMADE cookies, not store bought.
He is restless and does not like to have nothing to do.
He doesn't like Italian food, and thinks Grace can cook a better meal than you could ever get in a restaurant.
He likes his coffee maker to keep the coffee HOT; why is that so difficult?
He will call people he doesn't like "no good son's a' whores!"
He goes red in the face when he is mad.
He does not like most doctors.
He likes to tease me Grandma; he always says “she’s just loafing around here like she always does.”
He "roams the roads" as much as Grandma does.
He wears glasses, even after eye surgery, I think he just couldn’t get use to not having them on.
He hates Canadian Tire and Tim Horton’s, I’m not sure why.
He loves Newfoundland.
He was the first person Kai reached out.
He is stubborn!
He is one of my favorite people in the whole world.
